Deas Vail is a band with a story to tell, and they're doing it one note at a time. Forget for a second about the melodic vocal lines and lullaby guitars, the I'm telling you a ghost story pianos and the fact that there's a chick in the band, and what you're left with is earnest, searching rock music. Deas Vail starts with a classically trained vocalist and a band raised on Super Mario Brothers and ends up anything but simple, full of life and trickery, like the sound your heart makes getting blasted into outerspace. Now, with their debut album, All the Houses Look the Same waiting in the wings, Deas Vail is gearing up to hit the road this fall and see what you sound like singing along.
